Command Workflows

You can use command workflows to perform tasks or commands on deployed services or resources. They are distinct from approval and completion workflows, and are run independently of the service request process. You can run command workflows on demand, on a schedule, or in response to a policy being triggered.

A few examples on how you can use a command workflow are:

  • Control the power state of a VM.
  • Remove a VM from the virtualized infrastructure.
  • Run specific scripts on a resource or cloud account.
  • Create wait times that give external processes time to complete.
