They are distinct from approval and completion workflows, and are run independently of the service request process. You can run command workflows on demand, on a schedule, or in response to a policy being triggered.
A few examples on how you can use a command workflow are:
- Control the power state of a VM.
- Remove a VM from the virtualized infrastructure.
- Run specific scripts on a resource or cloud account.
- Create wait times that give external processes time to complete.
