Use Commander to rename an infrastructure element including:
- folders
- datacenters
- datastores
- datastore clusters
- clusters
- resource pools
- VMs
- virtual services
Access: | Views > Inventory > Infrastructure, Applications, or Storage |
Available to: | Administrator Access Rights |
- Select the infrastructure element in the tree, and do one of the following:
- For all infrastructure elements listed above except a VM, right-click and choose Rename.
- For a VM, right-click and choose Configuration Management > Rename.
- Enter the new name and click OK.
