Licenses — Reference
Refer to the tables below for field descriptions when you want to view the details of a specific license in SAM Core on Snow Atlas.
Summary
The top of the license page shows general information on the license purchase.
Field label | Description |

Metric | The metric for the licenses. |
Default metric | The default metric for the application. |
Purchase price | The purchase price for the licenses. |
Quantity | The number of purchased licenses. |
Purchase
The Purchase tab shows information related to the license purchase.
Field label | Description |

Name | The name of the purchase information item. |
Value | The corresponding value of the purchase information item. |
Note
If the license has been upgraded, Upgraded to will show the link Show upgrades. Select the link to show which applications that this license is upgraded to, and its quantity. Select an application name to show the license that the current license is upgraded to.
If the license is upgraded from another license, Upgraded from will show the link Show base licenses. Select the link to show which application that this license is upgraded from, and its quantity. Select an application name to show the license that the current license is based on.
Maintenance and support
The Maintenance and support tab shows information on maintenance and support costs registered for the license purchase. The information lets you keep track of periodical costs connected to the license purchase. Maintenance and support costs are included in the Total license cost on the Financial info tab.

Period from | The start date for this maintenance and support period. |
Period to | The end date for this maintenance and support period. |
Invoice reference | The invoice reference for this maintenance and support period. |
Notes | Comments on this maintenance and support period. |
Upgrade rights | Shows if the license has upgrade rights or not for this maintenance and support period. For more information, see Upgrade and downgrade rights. |
Support cost | The support cost for this maintenance and support period. |
Maintenance cost | The maintenance cost for this maintenance and support period. |
Assignment
The Assignment tab shows how the license purchase has been assigned. The license purchase can be assigned to specific organization nodes, sites, computers/datacenters, or users depending on the assignment type. For more information, see Assignment types. The information on the Assignment tab is different depending on the assignment type.
The following table shows the information on the Assignment tab for the assignment types Organization and Site.
Field label | Description |

Organization | The organization node the licenses are assigned to. |
Quantity | The number of licenses assigned to the organization node. |
The following table shows the information on the Assignment tab for the assignment type Computer/datacenter. The top of the page shows the number of licenses and how many of the licenses have been assigned.

Name | The name of the computer/datacenter the licenses are assigned to. |
Organization | The organization node that this computer/datacenter is assigned to. |
Type | Shows if the computer/datacenter is virtual or physical. |
Processors / Cores | The number of processors and the number of cores per processor for this computer/datacenter. |
VMs (Inventoried) | The number of virtual machines and the number of inventoried virtual machines. |
VM use rights | Shows if the computer/datacenter has VM use rights or not. For more information, see VM use rights. |
Assigned | The number of licenses assigned to this computer/datacenter. |

Information

Documents
The Documents tab shows manually uploaded documents and links related to the license purchase.
