Applications

The Applications pages in SaaS show consolidated data for your SaaS applications. Use these pages to gain visibility and to find optimization opportunities.

Description

The Applications pages show consolidated data for all discovered and manually added applications in your SaaS estate, based on the discovery sources that you connect to and the information that you add. Select an application to view relevant information for that application.

An application is the installed software, app or used service. Applications are sorted into software categories in Snow's database. Vendors often license and sell SaaS applications as subscriptions.

Application management

Applications are primarily added through the discovery sources that you connect to. If you have applications that cannot be discovered, you can add them manually. For more information, see Manage SaaS applications.

For application governance, mark your discovered applications as approved or not approved for use and if they are accessed with single sign-on (SSO). Applications discovered through SaaS connectors are automatically marked as approved.

Characteristics

Consolidated data is presented in indicators, charts, and tables. For column descriptions, see SaaS tables — Reference.
