Prepare Zoho CRM connector

The Zoho CRM connector retrieves information about subscriptions and users.

In Zoho developer console, you are required to create a client, retrieve Client ID and Client Secret, generate a code, locate your domain, and enter them in Settings when adding the connector.


A Zoho CRM account is required to connect to the Zoho CRM API.


  1. Sign in to the Zoho CRM developer console:

  2. Create a Self Client and retrieve Client ID and Client Secret.

    1. Depending on if you already have apps or not, do one of the following:

      • If you already have existing apps in Zoho CRM, select ADD CLIENT.

      • If you do not have any apps in Zoho CRM, select GET STARTED.

    2. On Self Client, select CREATE NOW.

    3. In the Create New Client form, in Client Type, check that Self Client is selected.

    4. Select Create, and then OK.

    5. On the Client Secret tab, copy and save the values for Client ID and Client Secret. These are used when adding the connector.

  3. On the Generate Code tab, generate a code for the refresh token.

    1. In Scope, enter ZohoCRM.users.READ,

    2. Set the Time Duration to 10 Minutes.


      This is now the time you have available to finish adding the connector all through Step 5.

    3. Enter a Scope Description.

    4. Select CREATE.

    5. In Select Portal, select CRM, and then in Production, select the organization.

    6. Select CREATE.

    7. In Generated Code, select COPY.

      Save this value, it is used when adding the connector.

  4. Locate the domain for your Zoho CRM instance and save it. It is used when adding the connector.

    It is the {domain} part of the browser URI https://api-console.zoho.{domain}/client when signed in to Zoho CRM developer console.

  5. When adding the connector, in Settings, enter the saved values in Client ID, Client secret, Code, and Domain respectively.

The connector makes API calls to the vendor to retrieve data.
