Manage custom agreement types
When you add an agreement in SAM Core, you must specify what kind of agreement it is, for example, a software agreement or a support agreement. If none of the pre-defined agreement types apply, you can create your own custom agreement types. The new custom agreement type is added to the list of agreement types, and you can then select it the next time you add an agreement.
View custom agreement types
To see a list of all created Custom agreement types, do the following:
On the SAM Core menu, under Agreements, select Custom agreement types.
Add custom agreement types
On the SAM Core menu, under Agreements, select Custom agreement types.
Select Add agreement type.
On the General tab, do the following:
Enter a Name and a Description of the agreement type.
To enable attachment of computers and mobile devices to agreements of this type, select Computer attachments active.
To enable attachment of objects to agreements of this type, select Objects attachments active.
On the Custom information tab, you see all custom fields configured as mandatory for agreements, if any. To add more custom fields, do one of the following:
To add a single custom field: In Custom fields, select the field you want to add, select Add, and then enter or select a Value for the field.
To add all available custom fields: Select Add all, and then enter or select a Value for each of the fields.

Select Save.
Edit custom agreement types
On the SAM Core menu, under Agreements, select Custom agreement types.
Select the custom agreement type you want to edit.
Add or edit the applicable information, see Add custom agreement types.
Select Save.
Delete custom agreement types
Caution
When a custom agreement type is deleted, it is removed from the system and cannot be restored
On the SAM Core menu, under Agreements, select Custom agreement types.
Select the custom agreement type you want to delete.
Select Delete.
Note
If you have agreements of this custom agreement type in your environment, Delete is not available.
Select OK to confirm.
