Prepare Cisco Webex connector

The Cisco Webex connector retrieves information about subscriptions, users, and user activity.

In Webex, you are required to create an integration, copy your credentials, generate an authorization code, and enter them together with a redirect URI in Settings when adding the connector.


An admin user account is required to connect to the Webex API.


  1. Sign in to the Webex developer app site with an admin account:

  2. Create an integration.

    1. Select Create a New App and then Create an Integration.

    2. Leave the SDK option as No.

    3. Enter Integration name, select an icon, and enter an App Hub Description.

    4. In Redirect URI(s), enter

      Save this URI, it is used when adding the connector.

    5. In Scopes, select spark-admin:licenses_read and spark-admin:people_read.

    6. Select Add Integration

  3. Copy your credentials.

    In the newly created integration, in OAuth settings, copy and save Client ID and Client Secret. They are used when adding the connector.

  4. Generate an authorization code.

    1. In the your integration, in OAuth settings, copy the OAuth Authorization URL into a browser tab.

    2. If prompted, login with your credentials.

    3. Select Accept.

    4. In the resulting browser URL, copy and save the authorization code. It is used when adding the connector.

      It is the part between and &state=state_set_here in the browser URL.

  5. When adding the connector, in Settings, enter the saved values in Client ID, Client Secret, Authorization code, and in Redirected URI.

After completing this task, follow the general procedure to Add connectors.

The connector makes API calls to the vendor to retrieve data.
