Manage single sign-on providers

Here are the different ways you can manage single sign-on providers.

To enable single sign-on, you must add and enable at least one provider. For the Snow Atlas configuration requirements specific to your selected provider, refer to the relevant section provided.

Add SSO providers

  1. On the Snow Atlas settings menu, under Account, select Security.

  2. Select Add single sign-on provider.

  3. Select the provider that your organization has subscribed to from the Provider list, and then select Continue.

  4. In Setup, enter the settings required for the selected provider.

For more information on the settings specific to your selected provider, refer to the relevant section provided.

  5. Optional: Select User provisioning:

    • If you enable User provisioning, users are automatically provisioned in your tenant.

    • If User provisioning is disabled, the email address entered must match the email used when the user was added to Snow Atlas.

For more information on User provisioning, see User provisioning.

  6. In Enable, select to enable the SSO provider, or to add the SSO provider without enabling it:

    • If you have configured and consented to the Snow Atlas application registration, select Enable the SSO provider, and then Finish.

    • If you have not yet configured and consented to the Snow Atlas application registration, select Finish.

In Authentication, the provider is listed and shown as Enabled or Disabled according to your configuration in step 6.

Tip

We recommend that you ensure that your SSO provider setup works correctly by trying the following test scenarios:

  1. One user with an active session updates and enables the SSO provider configuration. Another user tries to sign in.

  2. One user with an active session updates and enables the SSO provider configuration. The same user signs in from a different browser without an active session.

In Disable single sign-on, select Disable SSO.

In Authentication, the provider is listed and shown as Enabled or Disabled according to your configuration.
