Manage cloud connectors

Cloud connectors are the connection between your cloud providers and Snow Atlas. Cloud connectors are managed under SAM settings, where you can add cloud connectors, view a list of all your cloud connectors, edit the credentials associated with cloud connectors, view retrieval details for a connector, and delete connectors.

Add cloud connectors

Add an AWS or Azure connector to gain visibility into your organization's cloud usage and costs.

  1. From the SAM settings menu, under Data collection > Connectors, select Cloud connectors.

  2. On the Cloud connectors page, select Add connector.

  3. From the list, choose to add an AWS or Azure cloud connector.

View cloud connectors

View a table of all your cloud connectors on the Cloud connectors page. The Type column lists the name of the cloud provider. The Status column allows you to identify if any connectors are not running as expected.

  1. From the SAM settings menu, under Connectors, select Cloud connectors.

  2. On the Cloud connectors page, view a list of all your cloud connectors.

View retrieval information for cloud connectors

View more information on a connector's status, such as the date of the last successful retrieval of data and details on retrieval errors.

  1. From the SAM settings menu, under Connectors, select Cloud connectors.

  2. Select Actions then select Retrieval information.

Edit cloud connector credentials

Edit the third-party credentials associated with your cloud connectors in Snow Atlas.

  1. From the SAM settings menu, under Connectors, select Cloud connectors.

  2. Select a cloud connector from the list.

  3. Select Actions > Edit credentials.

    For Azure connectors, you will be prompted to enter a new Blob SAS URL. For information on generating Blob SAS URLs in Azure, see Connect to a SAS.

    For AWS connectors, you will be prompted to enter a new access key ID and secret access key. You can update the secret access key independently. For information on creating and modifying access keys in AWS, see Managing access keys for IAM users.

  4. Enter the new credentials, and then select Apply.

Delete cloud connectors

Delete one or multiple connectors and all of their historical data from Snow Atlas.

  1. From the SAM settings menu, under Connectors, select Cloud connectors.

  2. On the Cloud connectors page, select the connectors you want to delete.

  3. Select Actions > Delete connector.

  4. In the delete confirmation dialog, select Delete.
