About cloud application metering
To monitor the usage of cloud applications in the organization, browser extensions installed on the computers gather information about visited web pages. The information is made available in SAM Core and SaaS.
Description
Extensions collecting cloud application metering data are available for the browsers and platforms listed in Table: Cloud application metering browser extensions. With the exception of Apple Safari, the extensions can be installed on the computers by the Snow Inventory Agent for Windows or macOS according to the agent's configuration. The default configuration is to install the extensions. All agents receive cloud application definition updates by default.

Cloud application metering browser extensions
The cloud application metering extension runs in the context of the browser. It records the web pages the user visits. The data is stored locally on the computer, from where it is collected by the Snow Inventory Agent.
The available extensions and the applicable browsers and platforms are listed in the table below. Snow supports the deployment of extensions for browser versions that are supported by the respective vendor.
