Manage SaaS connectors
Learn how to manage your SaaS connectors in SAM settings.
To manage SaaS connectors, you require the Snow Atlas Admin role.
View connectors
You can view all available SaaS connectors on the Discover tab.
You can view your added connectors on the Added tab, to see their last aggregation, aggregation schedule, and status. For column descriptions of the Added tab, see SaaS connectors — Reference.
On the SAM settings menu, under Data collection, select SaaS connectors.
Select the Discover tab, to view all available connectors.
Select the Added tab, to view all added connectors.
Select the name of a connector to view its details.
Add connectors
You can add multiple connectors for the same vendor and product if you, for example, want to use different settings. If you add more than one connector with the same settings, imports during aggregation create duplicate data in the system.
To add connectors, you first have to prepare the necessary credentials for the connector in the respective vendor portals. To prepare connector credentials, follow the product-specific procedure.
On the SAM settings menu, select SaaS connectors.
On the Discover tab, select Add connector for the connector that you want to add.
In the dialog, select Add connector.
Under General, enter a Name for the connector.
The name is used to identify the connector in lists and reports, and it must be unique.
Under Settings, enter the credentials for the connector.
To prepare connector credentials, follow the product-specific procedure.
Under Schedule, you can schedule data aggregations.
By default scheduling is Enabled, and set to run Daily at
23:00
in your time zone. You can change the default intervals and time or disable scheduling:To change the default scheduling, in Repeat period, select one of the following intervals for aggregations:
Hourly, and select the Hourly interval to start the aggregation.
Daily, and select the Time to start the aggregation.
The selected time is in your time zone, based on the time zone of your browser. The offset of your browser's time zone from UTC is shown in parenthesis. Someone in another time zone sees the scheduled time in their time zone.
The selected time, and the displayed offset, adjusts automatically for daylight saving time, when applicable.
To disable scheduling, in Schedule, select Disabled.
A disabled schedule requires that you manually run aggregations of data. Data from the vendor will not be updated automatically in your system.
To add the connector and test the connection, select Save.
The connector is now being added to the system.
If the connector is successfully added, it changes status to Active and the connection is tested.
If the connector fails to be added, it changes status to Failed.
To try again to add the connector, select the connector, and then select Retry.
