Snow Device Manager 6 is a cloud-based enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution that enables organizations to automatically manage mobile devices across their entire IT estate.

This guide covers the steps required to configure an organization's Snow Device Manager web domain, which is one of the essential operations in getting a Snow Device Manager solution completely set up:

  1. Create the customer's domain on the appropriate existing Snow Device Manager server

  2. Configure the customer's SDM domain—the topic of this document

  3. Set up Cloud Extender

Cloud Extender integrates and synchronizes Snow Device Manager with the organization's users through Microsoft Active Directory (or any LDAP source). This is a requirement. Snow also recommends that Cloud Extender be set up to synchronize the organization's devices through Microsoft Exchange.

The Snow Device Manager Windows client interface known as Domain Admin is used to configure a customer domain. The sections of this document are organized in the same left-to-right order as the navigation tabs at the top of the user interface:

The terms organization and customer are used interchangeably in this document.

In addition, the target audience for this document is the Snow Software or customer employee who is tasked with configuring the customer's Snow Device Manager domain.
