Manually Provision AWS VMs

You can manually provision AWS VMs from:

  • a template
  • a requested service or VM component

Once a component in a service has been deployed, it's no longer possible to deploy at the service level; you must deploy at the component level.

Manually provision AWS VMs from a template

Access:

Views > Inventory > Applications

or

Views > Service Requests > Request Details

Available to:

Administrator, Operator, Operator with Approval Access Rights

  1. From the Applications tree, select a VM template.
  2. Right-click and select Provisioning > Deploy to VM.
  3. Provide the required information in the Deploy to VM dialog.

Manually provision AWS VMs from requested services or VM components

Access:

Views > Inventory > Applications

or

Views > Service Requests > Request Details

Available to:

Administrator, Operator, Operator with Approval Access Rights

  1. From the Service Requests page, select an approved service request and click Request Details.
  2. In the request tree, select a service or a component and click Deploy.
  3. Provide the required information in the manual deployment wizard.
    • If you selected a service, the manual deployment wizard is called Deploy Service as Individual Components.
    • If you selected a component, the manual deployment wizard is called Deploy to VM.

When deploying an entire service, if the deployment of one or more components fails, Commander will still attempt to deploy other components in the service.
