Edit domain settings

This section describes how to edit the settings for the domain.

Edit General settings

  1. On the Domain Admin tab, click Settings.

    The Settings workbench appears.

  2. On the General page, click Edit.

  3. Edit the settings according to the following table:

    Setting

    Description

    Language

    Select language for the domain.

    BYOD wipe

    Select to prevent private devices from being wiped on this domain.

    Note: This is not a complete block because the user can be changed by an administrator. However, the change will be logged.

    SMS Sender

    To change the SMS sender from default sender “SNOW”, type your company name. The length of the SMS Sender is maximum 10 characters.

    Phonenumber

    Mobilenumber

    Select to change the format of the phone number or mobile number imported from the AD to match the SMS format of SDM.

    Example: The phone number in the Active Directory is 070 123 4567. If the check box Phonenumber is selected, then the number will be formatted to +46701234567.

  4. Click Save.

Edit Email domain bindings settings

Email domain bindings are used to help devices and users to locate Snow Mobile Information Server and the customer domain. When the user downloads the Snow App and registers the user’s email address, the device can locate Snow Mobile Information Server and the customer domain.

To edit the Email domain bindings settings, do the following:

  1. On the Domain Admin tab, click Settings.

    The Settings workbench appears.

  2. On the Email domain bindings page, click Edit.

  3. To add an email domain binding, type an email domain in the Domain name box, and then click Add.

    The domain is added to the Registered email domain bindings box.

    Example 3.

    The domain name for the customer email xyz@customer.com is customer.com.



  4. To remove an email domain binding, click the domain and then click Remove.

  5. Click Save.

Edit Organization settings

  1. On the Domain Admin tab, click Settings.

    The Settings workbench appears.

  2. On the Organization page, click Edit.

  3. Type information about the organization in the Domain address boxes.

  4. To add a domain contact:

    1. Click Add.

      The Domain contact person dialog box appears.

    2. Enter information about the domain contact.

    3. Click Apply.

      The contact is added.

  5. Click Save.

Edit Import/Export settings

Packages, deployments, and users can be imported from another domain. It is also possible to import devices, users and custom metadata. Note: The import file format must be .CSV.

To edit the Import and export settings, do the following:

  1. On the Domain Admin tab, click Settings.

    The Settings workbench appears.

  2. On the Import/Export page, edit the settings according to the following table:

    Option

    Description

    Import (Metadata)

    Imports domain settings, for example packages, deployments and users, from another domain to the current one.

    Export (Metadata)

    Export packages, deployments, and users from the current domain.

    Import (users and devices)

    Import devices, users, and custom metadata from a CSV file to the system.
