Configure the HP Universal Discovery connector

The Snow Integration Connector for HP UD is configured in Snow Integration Manager (SIM). For more information on SIM, refer to Snow Integration Manager.

The HP UD connector reads data from files that are saved in a folder.

Tip

Due to high CPU and memory usage, the recommendation is to use a server with higher performance than the recommended minimum SIM server requirements, or there is a risk that the HP UD aggregation will underperform.

  1. In the XSF scan file folder box, either enter the location of the folder where the HP UD connector reads HP UD .xsf scan files, or select Browse to locate it.

    Important

SIM only reads .xsf files, so they are neither deleted nor moved from the XSF scan file folder. These are HP UD files that must remain on the server.

  2. Optionally, enter a Site name for this connector. This setting overrides the global site name.

  3. In the Initial aggregation length field, select a number of months for initial aggregation of inventory data.

  4. To reset an ongoing incremental aggregation, enter Clear Last Aggregation Date.
