Configuration of Okta

The Snow Integration Connector for Okta is used to determine the number of Okta users. The connector was introduced with Snow Integration Manager version 5.14.

The configuration must be started and prepared according to Configure a SaaS connector.

Prerequisites

An Okta user account is required to connect to the Okta API and extract the number of users. The Okta user account must have the role Super Admin.

Create and get the API

Snow Integration Manager integrates with Okta via a unique API key.

  1. Log in to the Okta website by using an account that is member of the Super Admin role.

  2. Go to API and select Tokens.

  3. Select Create Token and enter a name for the token.

  4. Select and copy the token value.

Configure the Okta connector

In the Configure section at the bottom of Connector Configuration: SaaS:

  1. Paste the copied API token value, as saved in Create and get the API, in the Access token box.

  2. Enter the web address for your Okta instance in the Endpoint box.

  3. Select Test Connection to verify that the connection between Snow Integration Manager and the Okta API is successful.

  4. Select the Active checkbox to enable the connector.

  5. Select Save.
