Manage application manufacturers

Learn how to add, edit, and delete custom application manufacturers in Snow Management and Configuration Center.

Note

You can neither edit nor delete application manufacturers provided by the Software Recognition Service (SRS).

Add manufacturers

When you add a new manufacturer, you add it to the Manufacturers list and to the Snow License Manager database.

  1. On the Software recognition menu, click Application manufacturers.

  2. Click Add Manufacturer.

  3. In the New Manufacturer dialog box, type the Name of the manufacturer and a Friendly Name that will be shown in Snow License Manager. These names are often identical.

  4. Optionally, type a link to the Web Site of the manufacturer. This information facilitates searches for product updates, service packs, security issues, or other relevant product information.

  5. Click OK to save the new manufacturer and close the New Manufacturer dialog box.

Edit manufacturers

  1. On the Software recognition menu, click Application manufacturers.

  2. In the Manufacturers list, select the manufacturer you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. In the Edit Manufacturer dialog box, make the changes and then click OK to save.

Delete manufacturers

When you delete a manufacturer, you remove it from the Manufacturers list and from the Snow License Manager database.

  1. On the Software recognition menu, click Application manufacturers.

  2. In the Manufacturers list, select the manufacturer you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.

  4. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
