Application bundles
Program suites are managed using Application bundles. An application bundle should contain all applications and/or all application groups present in the program suite.
Bundles are created and managed in the Application bundles view which is divided into three sections as described by the following table:
Section | Description |
---|---|
Applications | Shows all applications and application groups available in Snow License Manager. Applications and application groups created by the Software Recognition Service (SRS) are grey. |
Bundles | Shows all application bundles. |
Applications in the selected bundle | Shows the applications that have been assigned to the selected application bundle. |
Recognition factors
Recognition factors are defined in the Applications in the selected bundle list.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Is Mandatory | Select this option if this application must be present on the computer in order for SLM to display the bundle as installed. |
Requires Optional Component | Select this option if at least one of the other applications also has to be present on the computer in order for SLM to display the bundle as installed. |
Note
Only the recognition factors for locally created applications can be changed.
Override bundle
Applications bundles supplied by the Software Recognition Service (SRS) cannot be deleted.
If you want to create a local application bundle or change the included applications for a specific application bundle, you have to override the assigned application bundle. The SRS definition will then become inactive. If your local application for some reason is removed, the SRS application will be activated again.
Search assigned software
Sorting and filtering functions can be used in the Applications list. To search for assigned software by different search criteria, click Search Assigned Software.
