Manage roles
Learn how to add, edit, and delete roles in Snow Management and Configuration Center.
Add new roles
On the Security menu, click Roles/AD groups.
Do one of the following:
To create a new role, click New Role/AD group.
To create a new role based on an existing role, select the role in the Roles/AD groups list, and then click Copy Role/AD group.
The Role/AD group dialog box appears with the tabs Object Security, Report Security, and Users.
Enter a Name and a Description of the new role.
On the Object Security tab, use the checkboxes to select the functions that a user with this role shall have access to.
Note
If you have copied a role, review the already selected access to determine if you need to remove any access.
On the Report Security tab, use the checkboxes to select the reports that a user with this role shall have access to. The tab shows all standard reports and charts in the web user interface of Snow License Manager.

On the Users tab, add users to the new role:
Click Add.
In the Add Users dialog box, select one or several users in the list.
Click OK to save the changes and close the Add Users dialog box.
Click OK to save the new role and close the Role/AD group dialog box.
Edit roles
On the Security menu, click Roles/AD groups.
In the Roles/AD groups list, select the role you want to edit.
Click Edit Role/AD group.
In the Role/AD group dialog box, make the changes and then click OK to save.
Remove users from roles
On the Security menu, click Roles/AD groups.
In the Roles/AD groups list, select the role you want to remove users from.
Click Edit Role/AD group.
In the Role/AD group dialog box, on the Users tab, select the user in the list and then click Remove.
Click OK to save the change and close the Role/AD group dialog box.
Delete roles
On the Security menu, click Roles/AD groups.
In the Roles/AD groups list, select the role you want to delete.
Click Delete Role/AD group.
Click OK to confirm the deletion.
